In 2009 Lavinia's eldest daughter, Erin, was getting bullied at her new school. She would often come home and cry to Lavinia. One day she asked Lavinia if she would write her a story.
One night Lavinia went to bed and had a dream where a young girl was being bullied. There was a fight scene that as soon as Lavinia woke up she had to start writing. This was the start of Erin the Fire Goddess.
Originally the book was only written for her daughter but after showing it to her friends they encouraged Lavinia to publish it. The rest, you can say, is history.
Erin the Fire Goddess is a story of a 15 year old girl who is bullied for a birthmark on the left side of her face.
Moving to her parents hometown of Galladale, Erin Tait secretly hoped that things would be different and the bullying would stop. Erin soon discovered that all was not as it seemed and neither were the people around her.
